[The New City.] Der Ingenius-Baukasten. A rare architectural game for children with building blocks for skyscrapers, from the early years of the German high-rise. The game was designed by the German architect Wilhelm Kreis (1873-1955), who designed one of the first high-rises built in Germany, the Wilhelm-Marx-Haus, built in Düsseldorf from 1922 to 1924. The blocks are based on the tongue and groove assembly system. The accompanying leaflets give directions to children as to various buildings which can be imitated.
