Messages from the Unseen. First edition of this collection of correspondence from the afterlife, compiled by Edith Holden's father, Arthur Holden. Following the death of his wife, Emma Holden, in 1904, the family held regular seances in order to communicate with her. These encounters were recorded in Arthur Holden's diary and published anonymously after his death.The messages were received through automatic writing and impression, with Edith and one of her sisters possessing the gift of spirit communication. Emma Holden contributes the preface as well as the collection of spirit messages, both purportedly received after her death.
