The book includes chapters on "The Soul and its Thought-Forms", "The Battleground of the Astral Plane", and "Astrology and the Energies".Alice Ann Bailey (1880-1949) was an influential author on Theosophy and one of the first writers to use the term "New Age", a movement she is often credited with pioneering. After moving to the US, Bailey joined the Theosophical Society, where she met her husband, Foster Bailey. Following an unsuccessful attempt to reform the Society, the couple was expelled and subsequently founded the Lucis Trust and the Lucifer Publishing Company in 1922.
