History of the Panjab Hill States. First and only contemporary edition, print run of just 500, well represented institutionally, but uncommon in commerce and still authoritative, reflected in the publication of three recent reprints. The text gathers papers originally published in the The Journal of the Punjab Historical Society in order to present the information "in a more accessible" form for "Government and State Officers as well as students of History".The papers gathered here in this "monumental and significant work" (Bes et al., p.92) provide a much needed survey of the history of the princely states of Western Himalayas including Kangra and its offshoots, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Suket, Bilaspur (Kahlur), Nurpur, Basohli and some of the offshoots of Jammu.
