I'm selling off several books and reference guides devoted to kaiju & sofubi collecting. Back in the old days, before the internet and social media, these books were the way collectors figured out what kaiju figures existed - both new and vintage ones. They were and still are fantastic reference tools that give the names, dates of production and color variants for many kaiju and sofubi figures. All the ones I'm listing were published in Japan, are mostly if not entirely written in Japanese, and were very hard to get back in the day. Maybe even more so now because they've been out of print for decades. This is a book by Japanese author Eiji Kaminaga featuring fine art photography plates of numerous vintage and contemporary (for the 1990s when this book was published) sofubi figures by Bullmark, Marusan, Bandai, etc. Something a little different for the sofubi collector seeing these toys placed in artistic settings and photographed like fine art sculptural objects. Even included are some vintage Godzilla tin toys and I think I see even a Mattel Rodan toy. I'm not sure of the exact publication date but it was the 1990s when finding reference material like this was really difficult. A great reference tool for vintage sofubi collectors but by now the book itself is almost a vintage piece.
