A pilot in the 11th Bombardment Group (The "Grey Geese"), 7th Air Force, Price flew 40 combat missions in the Pacific Theater. He famously piloted the B-24 Liberator "Complete Miss," bringing his crew home safely despite the aircraft being hit by enemy fire on 15 consecutive missions.
