Telegraphic Computer, A logarithmic calculating device intended for business use. One side - "Fuller's Time Telegraph" - computes intervals between dates, and the other side - "Palmer's Computing Scale" - calculates equivalencies of area, distance, weight, and volume.The computer was first created by Palmer in 1841, who exhibited it in 1845 at the 18th American Institute Fair in New York. In 1846, Fuller (1799-1878) acquired the copyright and published an improved version featuring his time telegraph, which he exhibited at the 1851 Great Exhibition. The improved device also has a large folding plate depicting mechanical movements.There were several issues of the computer between 1844 and 1871, including an 1851 English version.
