Africa.- Madagascar, 85 silver gelatin photographic prints, c.60 x 100 mm., window mounts, most with captions in French, one or two gaps where photographs removed, occasional light spotting, original cloth, slight mottling to top edge, bumping to corners and extremities, oblong 4to, c.1920s. *** Including images of a journey to Madagascar, depicting the Suez Canal, the Gulf of Aden, Zanzibar and Dzaoudzi. It is suggested that the compiler of this album was involved in the vanilla trade as the album includes several photos of vanilla warehouses, both in Tamatave and in Marseille.
