Italy.- Alps.- English School (19th century) Collection of 39 watercolours illustrating an alpine journey from Grenoble to the southern alps, Italian lakes and mountains, including views of mountain passes above Lake Como and Maggiore, Lake Orta, through to the Valle d'Aosta, and across to Brian on, watercolours on wove paper, many inscribed and dated, various sizes between approx. 74 x 60 mm (2 3/4 x 2 3/8 in) and 295 x 230 mm (11 1/2 x 9 in), some affixed onto supports, all loose, unframed, circa 1864 (39)
