Thick 4to, approximately 270 x 180 mm, 10½ x 7 inches, 60 colour plates and 21 maps, pages: 1-719, Glossary, Bibliography and Index after page 698. A fine copy housed in an illustrated clamshell box as issued. Book in near fine condition, absolutely unmarked pages, no lean, and tight binding. Stiff, cloth colored boards (red-maroon), with gilt lettering and illustrated pastedown and first free end pages. clamshell box is in excellent condition with only slight rubbing at corner tips. Andre Simon bibliophile, gourmet, wine connoisseur, historian and writer is unrivalled in his contribution to the knowledge of wines.
