Muhatat kahrabat al-sad al-'aali. First edition of this pamphlet, issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity, advertising the power station on Aswan High Dam. Built between 1960 and 1970, the Aswan High Dam was endowed with a power station in 1967; by 1970, when it had reached peak production, it was providing electricity to half the Egyptian population. The booklet describes the progress of energy production at the dam since the 1960s, with graphs and photographic illustrations of the buildings and machinery. A couple of sections address infrastructure projects for the implementation of a more efficient energy grid.
