Printed in an edition of only 155 copies, with a limitation statement tipped on to the front free endpaper numbering this copy 88/155, and with a signed Certificate of Authenticity tipped on to the lower free endpaper for a large 182 x 244 cm painting by the artist. Note : this is a related, but different publication to that which is of the exact same name, Naata Nungurrayi : the late works, Melbourne : Badger Editions, 2015. The two books contain mostly the same text and images, but are published in different formats, with the Badger Editions version containing original photographs and a signed etching. This book is published as a tribute to Naata Nungurrayi, one of the greatest of the Pintubi women artists. For more than a decade from 2002 she chose to paint for Yanda Aboriginal Art in Alice Springs. Her advancing age did not diminish her ability to produce masterpieces, many on a large scale the suite of works contained in this book, were produced at an end of her career and incorporate in their iconography the petroglyph images from the desert which Naata saw as a young woman growing up in Central Australia . the Introduction.
