Three Lectures on Probability in the Social Sciences. First edition, inscribed by the author on the first leaf, "To Professor Foroster with personal regards, J. Marschak". This is perhaps a misspelling of Jay Wright Forrester (1918-2016), the computer scientist and author of Industrial Dynamics (1961), who became Germeshausen Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1956. Marschak and Forrester both worked on systems theory.The lectures are reprinted from Mathematical Thinking in the Social Sciences (1954), edited by Paul Lazarsfeld.
