An attractively bound copy of this practical guide to self-education, critical thinking, and disciplined study by the important hymn writer Isaac Watts (1674-1748). Among his hymns were "Joy to the World" and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", among many others.This work was published in 1741 as a supplement to Logic; or the Right Use of Reason (1724).
