Romanian soprano (1894-1985), Richard Strauss's favorite soprano who sang in the world premieres of four of his operas. Set of 3 signed and inscribed photographs - including one 4 x 5.75 inches, with Strauss, shown in role and the other 4.75 x 6.5 inches, shown also in role backstage with her husband the famous Austrian conductor Clemens Krauss, and an additional 5 x 7.25 inch signed photo, shown in role (likely as the Marschallin in Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier - as well as 2 additional unsigned photographs, one 4.5 x 6.75 inch photos, shown in Strauss's Der Liebe der Danae and another 3.5 x 5.25 inch photo, shown in role backstage with the composer and 2 unidentified performers, all in costume. ALSO INCLUDED: 1 autograph letter signed 1 page in German (untranslated), dated in 1983. All items in excellent condition. NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.
