Death of a Romanov Prince: Prince Oleg Konstantinovich’s Promising Life and Early Death tells the story of Prince Oleg Konstantinovich, one of the lesser-known members of Russia’s Imperial Romanov family. Son of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, Oleg was a talented poet and scholar who became the first Romanov to attend a civilian school and later graduated from the Imperial Lyceum, winning the Pushkin Medal in 1913. His promising intellectual and literary career was cut short by World War I, when he was mortally wounded while fighting German forces and died in 1914 at only 21 years of age. Published by Eurohistory in 2018, this first-edition hardcover is extensively illustrated with historical photographs, maps and genealogical material, including a large chart of the Romanov dynasty. Terry Boland is the principal author, with contributions by noted Romanov historian Arturo E. Beéche. This copy is signed by Beéche on the title page beneath the printed contributor credit.
