The English edition was translated by John Phillips, John Milton's nephew. First English edition; 8vo (18.5 x 12.5 cm); translated by J. Philips, engraved frontispiece portrait of Mahomet IV, 8 folding engraved plates (mostly views of the city, and mosques), 6 full-page engraved illustrations in the text, neat repair to blank upper margin of frontispiece, one illustration slightly trimmed, contemporary ownership inscription to title; later calf-backed marbled boards, vellum tips, a little rubbed, a very good copy.
