The Tale of Pigling Bland. First edition. There were two impressions of the first edition, which are identical. This was the last book written by Potter before her marriage to William Heelis. With her marriage, and the outbreak of the First World War, the author's focus turned from the Peter Rabbit series to farming. There would be no new Beatrix Potter title until 1917.The jacket includes The Tale of Pigling Bland listed on the rear panel as the "new volume for 1913".
