Romanian soprano (1925-2023) who sang leading roles in the opera houses of Europe and North America, known for the dramatic intensity, beauty, and wide range of her voice. Signed photograph, shown backstage with composer Francois Poulenc (Zeani performed in the world premiere production of his opera Dialogues des Carmelites at La Scala, Milan). Stamped on verso by photographer Erio Piccagliani, La Scala, Milan. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches , with slight creases and paper loss on several corners, otherwise in excellent condition.
