Charlie Bubbles. Screenplay, inscribed by the author on the title page, "Clive, from Shelagh Delaney", of "the movie... about writing and celebrity" (New York Times, 1968). The film starred Albert Finney, Colin Blakely, Billie Whitelaw, and Liza Minnelli in her feature film debut. The screenplay has not been published.Directed by Finney, the actor later called the experience of working on Charlie Bubbles "the most intense sense of creation I've ever had - at least sustained over a period of time" (New York Times, 1981). The author, Shelagh Delaney (1938-2011), was both a dramatist and screenwriter, known for her first two plays A Taste of Honey (1958) and The Lion in Love (1960).This script comprises a title page and 104 numbered pages. The date of 19 September 1966 is present on the title page, together with note of the production company (Memorial Enterprises Ltd).
