This copy belonged to Otto Brichacek (1914-1999), a communist resistance fighter who fled to England in 1938 and became a leading figure in the Austrian émigré community.Brichacek's bookplate carries the pseudonym he used in exile, "Fritz Walter", while his given name appears on an ex-libris stamp on the title page.Lella Secor Florence (1887-1966) was an American writer, pacifist, and feminist who moved to Britain in 1921. She founded Cambridge's first birth control clinic in 1925 and was active in progressive political circles throughout her life. The work was published in Harrap's America and Britain series.
