An attractively bound 19th-century Book of Common Prayer, with a charming contemporary fore-edge painting of a Thames-side view depicting Blackfriar's Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral.Provenance: the Zion Research Library, with their bookplate dated 1937. The library was a Protestant, non-sectarian library based in Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to the study of the Bible and the history of the Christian Church.
