The character became a popular element of the film version (the movie kept the title, Jaws, and little else) and in the movie Moonraker. 211, [5:blank] pages, including the preliminaries; pinkish-orange cloth; brown endpapers. Dust jacket design by Richard Chopping. First US edition (first printing, stating "Published in 1962..." without any later printings noted). A fine copy in a very near fine dust jacket with minor wear to the top of the front flap. Scarce in such nice condition, with the spine unfaded.
