Jean Charlot's Prints, A Catalogue Raisonne 1976 1st ed book is in excellent used condition, although lacking supplement and dust jacket has been (price?) clipped. The only blemish is the dark discoloration to bottom edge, as noted in photo #3. The first comprehensive collection of Charlot's works in woodcut, etching, lithograph, linoleum cut and book illustrations, each with detailed captions and descriptive information and with excerpts from Charlot's diary and his own commentary, bot autobiographical and technical. From the earliest woodcuts in France in 1916 to the lithographs of 1974. Charlot continued to explote new technical ground. He was a pioneer in color lithography and his comments on the color lithographs are of the greatest interest to printmakers today. The introduction by a noted authority on prints provides information on Charlot's working methods. Profusely illustrated with illustrations of many states, concordance, glossary, indexes.
