This piece of history is from my father’s extensive collection of WW2 books, medals, patches, prints, photographs, and more. My father traveled the world collecting the signatures of WW2 authors and pilots. He was very passionate about collecting the signatures of the WW2 American aces. Being the son of a B-17 pilot, he had a special friendship with many WW2 pilots and aces and attended many, many ace reunions. He even had a B-17 named after him when he was born during WW2, called the Off-Spring.
