Personally signed and inscribed 2016 First Edition of Be the Shoe: Live the Life You Want in the Shoes You Love by Kathy Kelada. This copy carries a handwritten inscription in gold ink addressed to “Patricia” and signed by the author, Kathy Kelada. The Patricia referenced is believed to be Patricia Ridgely Storm (1939–2025), wife of noted television and film director Howard Storm. This book was acquired directly from the Howard Storm estate sale, together with a collection of other books and personal items that had been inscribed or presented to Howard Storm and Patricia. Patricia Ridgely Storm had her own notable career in publishing and fashion. She began her career in New York as a beauty and fashion editor for Brides magazine and later worked as an editor/contributing editor for Town & Country, the long-running magazine devoted to fashion, culture and society. Before her marriage to Howard Storm, Patricia was married to character actor Robert Ridgely, whose extensive film and television career included appearances in Blazing Saddles, Philadelphia, Boogie Nights and numerous television productions. Patricia later married Howard Storm, whose long entertainment career included work as a comedian, actor, writer and prolific television director. Storm directed episodes of numerous classic television series, including Mork & Mindy, Laverne & Shirley, Taxi, ALF, Full House and Head of the Class.
