Fans of cover model Fabio will also find a lot to like here, as Lindsey and Avon books really helped his career take off—some of his earliest and most iconic covers are featured here. Her first 21 novels Every novel from her first two decades (1977 through 1990) All of her clinch covers Several key Fabio covers 1991 was chosen as the cutoff here because it separates her first two decades and her true clinch covers. (With her 22nd novel, Once a Princess, in 1991, Lindsey's book designs switched to stepback covers, where the clinch art was hidden behind the cover, on the front free endpaper.) This set took several years to assemble in this state and condition. Many of these early first editions routinely sell for $15-$30 a piece, especially those featuring Fabio. Each book is a first paperback edition. Most are also true first overall editions of the text, as her early works were primarily paperback originals. (Book-club-edition hardcovers of these early works are NOT first editions.) First printings are indicated in the first three books by a "First Avon Printing" statement with no further printings referenced. First printings are indicated for all later books with a "1" in a complete number line on copyright pages.
