This sale is for the book - Guide to the Rocks and Minerals of Tasmania by R.M. Johnston Published 1888 by William Strutt, Gov't Printer, Hobart. Original buckram boards, 31cm tall x 24.5cm wide, 51pp, 3 plates, Addenda slip tipped in at p. 11. Having seen 4 copies it appears there was only ever one printing. This book is the first state which was bound in green buckram. As required, later state(s) were bound in dark indigo cloth boards. Condition: Good condition, internally appears unused, although external wear from long storage, the book has been bent vertically, cracking the front board more than the rear, minor rubbing to spine ends, parts of covers sun affected with small stains.
