First comes acclaimed Beatles author Bruce Spizer's book -- The Beatles Story on Capitol: The Singles -- which, as indicated by its title, looks at the group's Capitol singles output through exhaustive research and photos of the 45s, their sleeves, variations, period advertisements, promotional items, and other ephemera during the peak of Beatlemania. This high-quality, glossy first-edition hardcover is out of print and highly sought. Any minor blemishes -- such as a corner or binding ding (see photos) -- either happened during original shipping or came from the printer that way, as this book was purchased as new and is listed here as such or like new. Second is The Beatles Story, a disc only available in the Beatles U.S. Albums box set (it was not sold separately), an attempt by Capitol to offset sales of a similar item by Vee Jay Records (Songs, Pictures, and Stories).
