Yeats, including a drawing of a pirate about to fire a cannon which is secured between two palm trees. The drawing measures 52 x 74 mm, and includes the artist's signature within a cloud of smoke.Marriott's study was originally read at a meeting of the Manchester Literary Club, and first printed in the Manchester Quarterly in July 1911. The published text was revised, and is a scarce title. The folding map comprises Yeats's "A View of Pirate Island".
