Two decks of Swedish playing cards. Two late 19th-century decks of playing cards issued together by the leading Swedish card manufacturer Alexander Boman (est. 1830). The original box cites Boman's awards of a bronze medal at the Stockholm Exposition of 1866 and first place at the 1873 Vienna World Exhibition, as well as two separate awards at the 1878 Paris Exposition.Provenance: Stephen C.
