Press photograph of Churchill in Boston. A battle-scarred Churchill stands with four of his Boston hosts on his 1932 US lecture tour, which he returned to after he was hit by a car on Fifth Avenue in December 1931 - the scars on his forehead are visible. Churchill spoke on "The Destiny of the English Speaking Peoples" at Boston on 10 March 1932. His lecture agent, Elbert A. Wickes (1884-1975), stands to his left.Provenance: the collection of Steve Forbes, chairman of Forbes Magazine, and presidential candidate in the 1996 and 2000 US elections.
