This copy of “IN COLD BLOOD” has been, since it’s purchase, in the possession of The Martens Family of Monroeville Alabama. Mrs Martens was long acquainted with “Nell” Harper Lee who was indispensable to Truman and to the Creation of this Book. As is true with many families in Monroeville, Truman and Nell are often a large part of their lives and community even to this day. Mrs. Martens and her daughter as well as other members of the family have worked at the Historical museum as well as worked as actors in “To Kill a Mockingbird”and as readers of many of Truman’s’ works for the public. This is a well read copy and for good reason.
