Collected Essays Papers &c. First edition of 30 prose pieces comprising "all the addresses that he would hav [sic] wisht [sic] to reprint", and "issued to members of the S.P.E." Pieces include "Poetic Diction", "A Critical Introduction to Keats", "The Poems of Mary Coleridge", "English Chanting", and "The Necessity of Poetry". Full sets of the issue in wrappers are not common.Each volume bears the ownership signature of Dr R. S. Creed (1898-1964). He was a lecturer in physiology at the University of Oxford. An obituary notice stated "he had been a college tutor for 31 years, and will be remembered by many generations of New College undergraduates for his kindness, interest, and tutorial skill".
