SOMBART, Werner.

Inquire · Offered by Peter Harrington

Autograph postcard signed. A handsomely produced postcard, in Sombart's hand and signed by him at the foot, requesting that the Berlin publisher Haering forward his writings to newspaper and magazine editors. Sombart (1863-1941), the sociologist and economist now best known for coining the phrase "late stage capitalism", was in 1895 a little-known professor at the University of Breslau: the front of this postcard carries a Breslau postmark dated 7 November 1895.
