Lupercal. First edition of the author's second volume of poetry, containing celebrated verse such as "Hawk Roosting", "Pike", and "The Bull Moses". Lupercal established the young Hughes "as a poet of the first importance" (Alvarez) and was awarded both the Hawthornden Prize and the Somerset Maugham Prize.
