Loosely inserted is a blank petition template issued by L'Union française pour le suffrage des femmes.Mirabaud (1881-1943) was a translator who was particularly known for her work on Rabindranath Tagore. She was a committed advocate of women's suffrage and delivered frequent lectures on the subject, upon which this pamphlet is based. From 1913, she published a periodical entitled Pour les femmes, which argued for animal rights and temperance alongside women's suffrage.
