Two of maze or hedge designs (C1 ₁ , C4 ₄ ), one of an ideal garden layout (C ₂ ) . Contemporary manuscript autograph of Gerard T a lboth [?] on t-p in brown ink , another later to verso of last . Ms initials ‘T.L.’ to verso of t-p. Large C .1 7 th autograph in upper margin B ₁ , of Margarett Bragra ve ( al. Blagrave ) inked over in brown (s light bleeding across pages). Couple of little ms notes on H ₂ , p ossibly same hand . M inimal foxing to title page, tear from lower on outer blank of B ₄and U₄. and A ₃ (repaired). Narrow tear from upper edge of Hh ₄. Tiny hole to text on O ₄ and affecting a few letters on Aa ₃ . W ater stain at head of gathering G, affecting a couple of lines. The odd marginal oil spot . A very good clean well-margined copy in handsome straight grained green m orocco , c. 1800, quadruple gilt ruled and vine leaf border, key pattern gilt on inside edge and rope on edge.
