This a rare true first US edition, first printing, first state edition and not a book club copy or a later state printing. Book and dust jacket are in fine clean condition without writing or tears and pages are crisp. Both book and dust jacket are first state; the number line starts at 1 and states “First American Edition June 1999” to copyright page. The book's boards have embossed blue diamond pattern and spine lacks number 2, indication this is the first of two states for binding. The dust jacket is the first of three states; the dj spine lacks the number 2 and has a price of $17.95. This book is also identified as early first printing by error of page 157 where “Percy” is misspelled “Perry.” Another error; on the Series Title Page "Sorcerer" is misspelled as "Sorceror." Most of these errors where fixed early in the first American edition’s first printings after this first issue. Please see pics.
