Stamped "Proof Copy Only" on the front free endpaper.The proof omits the dedication and features white endpapers. The first edition, first impression includes the dedication ("To Alfhild, Else and Asta" on the imprint page) and contains yellow endpapers. The setting of the text, however, is entirely the same.
