First edition, 8vo (26 x 17 cm); illustrated title-page, steel-engraved frontispiece and one other plate, seven full-page wood-engraved plates, as well as engraved plans and numerous engraved head and tail pieces throughout, damp-staining to prefatory pages, some light spotting throughout, otherwise clean internally; half green morocco over cloth boards, ruled in gilt, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, featuring relevant fox-hunting emblems in gilt, raised bands, marbled endpapers, small chip to top-edge of spine, slight wear to extremities and board edges, joints slightly frayed, very good; vii, 327 pp.
