Major based his edition of the Angler on the fifth edition (1676), the last published during Walton's lifetime, and is notable for its fine engraved illustrations. First 'Major' edition; 8vo (19.5 x 13 cm); engraved portrait frontispiece, twelve plates, numerous in-text illustrations; full red straight-grain morocco, rebacked, spine gilt in six compartments, double gilt fillets, gilt devices to corners, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, a few light scuffs and scratches; lx, 411pp.
