Very Good - A sound and attractive complete set in the publisher’s black hardback bindings, lettered in gilt to the spines, with the original photographic adult-edition dust jackets. All seven dust jackets are unclipped and are housed in removable clear protective sleeves. The jackets display light shelf wear, rubbing and minor creasing at some edges and spine ends, consistent with careful handling and storage. The photographic designs, lettering and principal images remain clear and present well as a uniform set. The bindings remain sound and the contents are generally clean and legible throughout. No foxing or undesirable odour is present. Some binder’s glue discolouration is visible at the internal hinge of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This is an ageing characteristic of the binding adhesive and is not foxing, damp staining or mould. A presentable and collectible first-impression set, with the inevitable minor signs of handling associated with books of this age but without serious condition defects.
