Finely bound in rich red leather with elaborate gilt decoration to both boards and spine, raised spine bands, gilt titles and ornamental devices, and all edges richly gilt. Finished with decorative moiré silk endpapers and a matching silk ribbon marker. The volume also includes a color reproduction of J. M. W. Turner’s celebrated painting The Golden Bough, reproduced courtesy of the Tate Gallery, London.
