SOLD AS A SET ONLY. Will not be spilt up and sold individually. No international shipping. Scanlan’s Magazine: Volume One: Issues 1-5. Published in 1970. Of note: Is Issue #4 that contains the article “ The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved.” by Hunter S. Thompson, and is said to be the start of “Gonzo Journalism”. Art for the article was done by Ralph Steadman, who was linked to Thompson since this was published. Each magazine is in a protective plastic cover with board backings. Owner ( my father) purchased these issues in San Francisco during 1970 and has kept them in good condition since.
