Covers a lot of ground from the Roman period to; The Normans; Henry VIII; The Tudor Interlude; Queen Elizabeth; The Stuarts; The Restoration; The Revolution in England; The early Georges and much more. This copy is the first printing from 1938 with comes with the dust jacket (read condition report) and book is dated 1938 and inscribed by Adams to his friends & neighbors Sept 6 1938. There are no signed copies available anywhere except this one. Condition: Book is very good with light wear. Book is tightly bound. Has discolored front pages on title page and adjacent page - obviously from a newspaper clipping being paperclipped into the book a long time ago (and not in the book anymore) and the paper clip also slightly damaged the following page at the top edge as seen in the last 2 photos. See all photos for condition. Dustjacket appears to have been slightly & neatly trimmed at edge - probably an 1/8 of inch as that is the difference between jacket completely covering book.
