ITEM DESCRIPTION This is the Japanese-language edition of The Philosophy of Language by Jerrold J. Katz, originally published in the United States by Harper & Row in 1966. Titled 言語と哲学 ("Language and Philosophy") for this printing, it was published in Japan by Taishukan Shoten, supervised by Nobushige Sawada and translated by Yuji Nishiyama. The text is in Japanese. The book is a hardcover volume in red cloth boards with gilt-stamped spine lettering, issued with its original illustrated dust jacket, which reproduces the English-language original title alongside the Japanese title.
