First edition illustrated by Roger Ferrero, number 15 of 35 on papier Guarro à la main, from an edition limited to 180 copies, with an original drawing signed, and a suite of illustrations on Japon, signed "Grosclaude" and "RFerrero" on the limitation page, the present work with an extra 3 original drawings by Ferrero.This luxury edition was published for the centenary of Paul Verlaine's birthday. He wrote La Bonne Chanson, to celebrate the burgeoning love between him and Mathilde Mauté, his young bride, just before his encounter with Arthur Rimbaud and its tumultuous consequences.
