Green Lantern #25, DC Comics, 1963 A fantastic Silver Age Green Lantern issue with a superb classic Gil Kane cover and a strong battle featuring two established Green Lantern villains, Hector Hammond and Sonar. This is a very attractive copy for its age and presents particularly well from the front. The cover retains strong, bright colours, good gloss and a clean overall appearance. The spine is also a real strength, with relatively limited colour-breaking wear for a comic from 1963. The main condition point is the bottom-left corner of the rear cover. The corner piece remains present but is hanging on very loosely and should be handled with care. This has been taken into account when grading the comic. Estimated raw grade: Fine 6.0 There may be some potential for presentation improvement through careful professional cleaning and pressing, although the fragile rear corner would need to be protected and pressing would not repair this defect. “War of the Weapon Wizards!” features Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, facing Hector Hammond and Sonar in a classic Silver Age story involving Green Lantern being forced to battle using Sonar’s weapon.
