Large collection of 48 original antique French Sans-Gêne illustrated magazines dating primarily from 1922 and 1923. All 48 issues are being offered together as one lot. These original French periodicals feature wonderful early 1920s illustrations, cartoons, humor, fashion and risqué imagery representative of the Jazz Age and post-WWI Paris era. Numerous different issue numbers and dates are included, with many issues appearing to form portions of a consecutive or near-consecutive run. Original French-language publications with 60-centime cover prices. Excellent period artwork throughout featuring fashionable women, nightlife, relationships, social satire and humorous scenes. Condition varies from issue to issue. All show age-related toning and general handling wear consistent with publications approximately 100 years old. Some have edge wear, small tears, creases, staining/spotting, spine wear or other imperfections. Completeness of every individual issue has not been verified.
